After lunch we felt the need for air conditioning so we jumped in a taxi and headed to Central World for a spot of shopping. After our last taxi experience I checked the starting price on the meter which showed 100 Baht. I pointed this out to the driver and after a couple of button presses it dropped to 35 Baht! CW was very good and we made a few purchases but nothing too exciting. After an hour or so we decided Charlie needed a sleep and we needed a drink so a short cab ride home and we are back enjoying a few Singas on the balcony watching the boats come and go. The resort is lovely and not too big, around 70 rooms I think. The rooftop pool is perfect for cooling down after a sweaty day traipsing around Bangkok.
