Early Ferry to Phuket

The ferry from Phi Phi to Phuket takes about two hours so we opted for the 9 am ferry which meant we needed to catch the 8:30 long boat from the resort to Ton Sai bay pier. All went smoothly and after a light breakfast and ice tea we were seen off by a family of monkeys on leaving the resort, much to Charlie's delight. This time we transferred straight onto the ferry which left almost immediately. We got about 200 meters from the pier and the ferry stopped, we had no idea what was happening as usual until another boat pulled alongside and more passengers boarded. After that we were quickly on our way. The trip this time was a lot less busy and even though we could only get seats on the lower deck the voyage was very pleasant.
